Position: Electrical Engineer
Targeted Hiring Date: May 2009
Description: Work in a small fast paced technical group defining, developing and testing prototype hardware/software systems for the USG. Closely interface with other electrical engineers as well as mechanical/packaging and software engineers during all phases of development cycle. Participate in all stages of electronics development including analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, component specification, PCB layout, population, and testing. Engineers will be responsible for design and analysis of parts, components, assemblies, subassemblies and systems using OrCAD and Pspice. Provide weekly status updates to the project manager on milestones. Provide technical written inputs for monthly status reports.
Requirements: Successful candidates will possess as a minimum a BS in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years experience designing and implementing a variety of electronic systems. Have a successful history developing prototype systems with the required form fit and function to go to low rate initial production. Experience with the development of RF systems is a plus. As well as a working knowledge of C/ASM programming is desired. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and experience developing documentation. Applicants must be US Citizens eligible for obtaining a security clearance and will be subject to a government security investigation. Applicants with active security clearances preferred.
