<description><![CDATA[Work in a small fast paced technical group defining, developing and testing prototype hardware/software systems for the USG. Closely interface with other 
electrical engineers as well as mechanical/packaging and software engineers during all phases of development cycle. Participate in all 
stages of electronics development including analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, component 
specification, PCB layout, population, and testing. Engineers will be responsible for design and analysis of parts, components, 
assemblies, subassemblies and systems using OrCAD and Pspice. Provide weekly status updates to the project manager on milestones. 
Provide technical written inputs for monthly status reports.

Successful candidates will possess as a minimum a BS in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years experience designing and implementing a variety of 
electronic systems. Have a successful history developing prototype systems with the required form fit and function to go to low rate 
initial production. Experience with the development of RF systems is a plus. As well as a working knowledge of C/ASM programming is 
desired. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and	experience developing documentation. Applicants must be US

<description><![CDATA[Lead the development of complex RF systems (400MHz to 8 GHz) including conceptualization, analysis, design, simulation, layout, prototyping, lab tests and 
field tests. Responsibilities will include calculating link margins, transmitter and receiver circuit design, and post processing 
analysis applications. Excellent communication skills are required to lead a team of engineers and communicate effectively with 
customers. This includes mentoring of junior staff members.  
The successful candidate will possess as a minimum an MS in Electrical Engineering plus 12 years or PhD in Electrical Engineering plus 10 years experience designing and implementing RF systems. The experience should include theory and hands-on lab and field work. Expertise in the use of MATLAB/SIMULINK, schematic capture and layout software such as ORCAD and spectrum and network analyzers is required. 
Technical expertise in circuit design with knowledge of commercially available high performance RF components including amplifiers, frequency synthesizers, modulators, oscillators, filters and phase locked loops. Familiarity with modulation schemes, spread spectrum, forward error correction methods, link margin analysis, power budgets, signal processing and integration of GPS systems is highly desired. 
Candidates must possess experience writing technical reports, white papers, and proposals including assisting in the development of cost estimates. Applicants must be US Citizens eligible for obtaining a security clearance and will be subject to a government security investigation.

Programming for the following types of modules is desired:  System control; Memory interfacing; Digital external memory interfaces (SD, Mini-Sd, MMC, USB); sensor interface and control; GPS I/O with binary; NEMA messages; Serial communications (SPI, 12C, USB, IRDA, and JTAG), Power management, system health monitoring.
BS+10 yrs or MS+5 yrs in Computer Science or EE with in-depth experience in embedded application and system-level software development (firmware and driver development).
Strong embedded C programming skills and some assembly level programming experience. Experience with multiple embedded RTOS's at the BSP level. Successfully completed bring up of boards. Familiarity with debug tools such as emulators, ICE debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes. C or C++ development experience on embedded systems. Proven experience in reading standards and translating them to SW. SDK development experience. Good leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
